Coping
That’s right, they’ve started doing some work again! Big things to notice include…
- They’ve backfilled the pool (there’s dirt around the walls again)
- They’re starting to do the coping (the top edge of the pool, made of stone)
Hopefully the weather permits more progress!
Slow Going
Whoa. Slow going indeed. It’s been more than a month since I’ve updated this thing. And do you know why? It’s because very little has actually been happening. The weather has conspired with some busy workers to mean that we’ve seen just a bit of progress. (To be fair, the early progress was excellent, so I’m not complaining… much.)
The last bit of work has been the removal and reconstruction of the wall that goes under my bedroom! That’s right, they had to rework that wall because it will now be under ground, and therefore can’t be constructed of wood. So, they’ve framed it up, removed the wall, and started building a replacement out of concrete block. Last week’s weather set them back, but this week they’re getting it going.
Once that’s complete, we hope to get back to work on grading and some of those things, weather permitting.

Update, Minutiae
Alright, things appear to be a little slow right now. We’re getting little nit picky things in order at the moment, so progress feels slow.
We’ve designed some shelves to surround the murphy bed. We’ve designed the greenhouse and how it holds together. We’ve figured out that the big window needs to move 3 inches. So, not much is new. But here you go… Well, the drywall in the top half is new, so that’s something!
